Iki-yêgê Fêqê (/ˈiki/ /ˈjɘgɘ/ [flour] [picture; image; icon]) is a subtropical Town located in the Lîsithapíe Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Iki-yêgê Fêqê is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Iki-yêgê Fêqê was founded by Zadoc Èbmëmêm, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Overview

Iki-yêgê Fêqê was founded durring the early 14th century in winter of the year 1324, by Zadoc Èbmëmêm. The establishment of Iki-yêgê Fêqê was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Zadoc Èbmëmêm electing to pay people to resettle in Iki-yêgê Fêqê.

Iki-yêgê Fêqê was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Iki-yêgê Fêqê is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Iki-yêgê Fêqê is buildings are located arround a single narrow baked earthen mainstreet which forms a clockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town posesses a fortified albit thin wall of querried stone. This wall posesses most of the features of a castle wall, though it is constructed from cheeper inferior stone. It would pose a minor chalange for an attacking army, though it's clear the wall's true purpose is to crush the hopes of bandits and marauders. The failry decent fortifications have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

Iki-yêgê Fêqê's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used makes use of a large oblong hall or building with double colonnades and a semicircular apse and symmetrical central-plan, resulting in buildings with a square central mass and four arms of equal length. Decorative features included domed rooves, arches, soaring spaces, and sumptuous decoration: marble columns and inlay, mosaics on the vaults, inlaid-stone pavements, and sometimes gold coffered ceilings.

Old patterns of authority and wealth are being disrupted, and the old gentry are unlikely to be pleased about it. They may be trying to take over the industry, or they may have been the ones to enable it in the first place and are using it to crush the life out of any rival power bases. Outsiders might be playing a major role as well, and it could be they plot to siphon off the profits.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Iki-yêgê Fêqê was attacked by savage scorpionfolks living nearby. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Iki-yêgê Fêqê lost 131 people, 272 livestock, and 99 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 117, when members of Iki-yêgê Fêqê's militia enacted an operation to fortify a particular vault. The operation was complicated by the enemy setting up an ambush. The conflict ended with an assault and siege on the vault, which ended in victory for Iki-yêgê Fêqê's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Iki-yêgê Fêqê's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
